Concentrated Cleaners
In a concentrated liquid cleaner the solvent, usually water, has been reduced or removed. The product is now lighter so it reduces shipping cost, storage space and packaging costs. The manufacturer suggests dilution ratios depending on your application or you can use it full strength if your application allows for that much concentration. Therefore you can use one product for many applications, cutting down on your inventory. There are also concentrated powders and tablets that dissolve in water. You will find many famous brands like Boardwalk, Clorox, Fabuloso, Lysol, Zep, Mr. Clean and much more. Degreasers & General Cleaners
Concentrated or ready-to-use (RTU) formulas are available with or without bleach, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide or vinegar. Multi-surface, all purpose, industrial concentrated cleaners, antibacterial kitchen cleaners, vehicle wash, in liquids and powders are all here for quick delivery. You can choose from aerosol cans, trigger spray bottles or pour bottles, packets, pails, boxes, and pump dispensers. Use a degreaser for those tough jobs to cut through grime and grease and antibacterial cleaners to clean and disinfect your surfaces. Foam cleaners have an advantage over liquids because they can cling to vertical surfaces. Lysol, Scrubbing Bubbles, and Dymon foam cleaners clean, shine, disinfect and deodorize all in one easy step. Scrubbing Bubbles and Kaboom help remove soap scum, hard water stains, and dirt. They also help to control mildew and won’t scratch surfaces, leaving a nice shine. Be sure to read the manufacturer’s recommendations for which surfaces the product can be used on, some cannot be used on acrylic, brass or natural marble surfaces. Most can be applied to tubs, showers, basins, ceramic tile, stainless steel, chrome, fiberglass, and porcelain surfaces. There are also foam oven cleaners. Mr. Muscle and Easy Off clean cold or warm ovens. The self-scouring action and foam cling breaks down tough baked on grease and grime with less scrubbing. Typically used on ovens and also on grills, broilers, hoods, steam table-tops, pots, pans, fryers, griddles and stainless steel. Gum & Adhesive Removers
Boardwalk, Diversey, Duck and Motsenbocker’s Lift-Off save the day when it comes to removing gum, candle wax, tape, label and sticker residues, tar, sap, crayon and more. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendation for the item you are removing and the surface it is on. Typically used on carpets, mats, fabrics, chairs, floors, non-porous hard surfaces, natural and synthetic fibers, and vinyl. They dry fast and should leave no residue.
Lime & Rust Removers
Lime and rust removers have powerful formulas to easily remove lime, calcium, mineral deposits, and rust stains. Some contain bleach and others are bleach free. There are also removers that are alcohol ammonia, and phosphate free. Most are abrasive free and can be used on multiple surfaces such as ceramics, enamel, fiberglass, glass, laminate, metal, plaster, plastic, vinyl and more. Check manufacturer’s recommendations for you application. Lime-A-Way, Arm & Hammer, CLR Pro and Simple Green offer different options. Mr. Clean
Mr. Clean was invented by Linwood Burton, a marine ship cleaning businessman with clients on the east cost of the United States. Ships were being cleaned with abrasives and solvents that were cutting through grease and grim, but the solvents were very dangerous to the employees. This motivated Mr. Burton to find another solution that was effective but safe. He had a chemistry background and developed Mr. Clean. He could now have his employees safely clean the ships and reduce his disability claims. In 1958 he sold the product to Procter & Gamble.
Mr. Clean products offer multi-surface cleaners, floor cleaners and Magic Erasers for cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and extra power erasers with textured surfaces for heavy duty cleaning. Oven and Grill Cleaners
Oven and grill cleaners are available in liquids and foams. Easy-Off, Mr. Muscle, Boardwalk and Scotch-Brite brands offer different options. Mr. Muscle and Easy Off clean cold or warm ovens. The self-scouring action and foam cling, breaks down tough baked on grease and grime with less scrubbing. Typically used on ovens and also on grills, broilers, hoods, steam table-tops, pots, pans, fryers, griddles and stainless steel. Scotch-Brite offers a liquid griddle cleaner in a packet which will easily remove baked on foods and oils from griddles. It is an easy one step process and requires no rinsing. Pine-Sol was invented in 1929 by Harry A. Cole and then sold to Clorox in 1990. Pine-Sol is a well known floor cleaner but it cleans many other surfaces as well. It can be used in kitchens and bathrooms to clean grease and grim quickly and effectively. It also will eliminate odor causing bacteria and disinfect. You can select the original pine scent or a lemon or lavender scent. Powder & Scrub Cream Cleansers
From the famous makers of Ajax, Bar Keepers Friend, Comet, Soft Scrub and Diversey Emerel you can select from powdered or cream cleansers. You can also choose from options that contain Bleach, or are Chlorine / Bleach Free, have Oxygen Bleach, are Biodegradable, Deodorizing, or Disinfecting. Some contain gentle abrasives that won’t scratch surfaces. Most will remove stains from sinks, toilets, tiles, tubs, and showers. Bar Keepers Friend keeps non-precious metal and ceramic surfaces clean and shiny. It has a rhubarb root derived cleaning agent that removes rust, tarnish, lime, mineral scale, grime and stains. It is typically used in bars and taverns, bathrooms, garages, kitchens on various type materials such as acrylic, brass, chrome, copper, Corian, Fiberglass and much more. Toilet Bowl Cleaners
Toilet bowl cleaners come in many forms. Choose from powders, liquids, gels, tablets, automatic bowl cleaners on hangers, and toilet wands with disposable sponge heads that are pre-saturated with a concentrated cleaner. There are milder non-acidic toilet bowl cleaners for the home and others with various concentrations of hydrochloric acid for professional, industrial use. 3M and Vanisol provide a high acid toilet bowl cleaner with 23% hydrochloric acid. Use a urine / body fluid cleaner to disinfect clean and eliminate those unpleasant odors. The cleaners break down urine and other organic materials with surfactants and hydrogen peroxide based products to penetrate, and remove stains and odors. Enzyme Odor Digesters

Personally Speaking
I prefer to use multi-surface, all purpose cleaners so I can purchase fewer products. My favorite brands are Method, Lysol and Scrubbing Bubbles. I recently starting using Lysol vinegar spray cleaner for my kitchen and find it works very well. I always have used Scrubbing Bubbles in my bathroom. It makes cleaning easy and quick.
